We are currently investigating an issue that impacts some Block Storage Volumes that were a part of this maintenance. Impacted customers may see 2 of the 4 storage paths to Block Storage Volumes persistently down. No impact to performance or availability of a storage Volume is expected. We will post another update in 4 hours.

The IBM Power for Google Cloud operations team will perform essential maintenance on the Block Storage service.
During the maintenance window storage Volumes will remain operational but will be partially disconnected from backend storage. Customers will see 2 of 4 storage paths intermittently down during the maintenance. This will have no impact on the availability of Block Storage. Additionally, customers will not be able to provision new Virtual Machine Instances between the hours of 9am EST and 1pm EST.
While we do not expect any downtime, a brief period of increased storage latency or decreased throughput may occur.
Required Action: Before maintenance: Customers should confirm all storage paths are enabled and online in the OS. Follow the best practices for storage using our documentation https://docs.converge.cloud/docs/how-to/aix/aix-mpio/
After maintenance: Customers should verify all storage paths are enabled and online in the OS.
AIX Operating Systems: If lspath | grep -v Enabled returns any disabled paths, run cfgmgr and re-check. Contact support if lspath continues to return paths that are disabled, missing, or failed.
